"Next week....."Coupling",

"Coupling" is also excellent. :D

Wait till you get "Phoenix Nights" :o

Re "Coupling" if you've watched the really bad watered down American version, don't write it off.#

Coupling (the Uk and original version) is absolutely brilliant. Went a little downhill after the Welsh Guy left, but series 1 and 2 will have you wetting yourself :D

I've only seen one episode of "Coupling"and I could not get into it for some reason. Maybe I needed to see more episdoes or something.

I of course, did not even watch the American remake.... :D

I'll keep an eye or two out for this "Phoenix Nights" show on the "Telly"... :D

Please don't think that all Brits are the same as portrayed in Little Britain, only 90% or so.

Of course not!

Perish the thought! ( As you guys say! )

In fact, I do believe the other 10% make up most of the members of Thaivisa ..... :D:D

Everyone in the States are like the "Bevely Hillbillies".... nah, can't be .... I always thought they were all like "The Munsters"..  :D

totster  :D

Honestly, Totster, I'm really dissapointed in you.....

I know you can do better than that!

To quote Vicky Pollard :

"this fing wot you know nuffin about"!

:D

I'm buying the DVD of the first season of Little Britain tomorrow when It goes on sale, and

the new season starts this Wednesday here on BBC America channel....

I can't wait!

Brian Potter - "runs" The Phoenix Club

totster

Genius - discovered it last month and love it.

SCAMP, long time no hear mate - say, did that mini dvd player I gave you survive the UK voltage and make it to Bejing? If so, can you pick up copies in BJ like in TIT? Maybe LB is available in BJ then??? (hey, that's not like it sounds, ok?!) :D:o

I left it plugged in after watching Edward Scissorhands in Aberdeen and it has been dead as a Dodo ever since.

I brought it with me anyway in the hope that I can get it fixed somewhere and then I can watch the 1st series of Little Britain and show it to my Russian mates here.

  - even the Narrator is funny!

The narrator is Tom Baker, better known as Dr. Who (the third one I think).

It's great but please don't assume that all night clubs in the UK are like the Phoenix Club, or we all look like Brian Potter (above in Totsters post) :o

Little Britain...

The first few series were funny and entertaining but after a while it loses that feeling and starts to slowly become annoying when everybody starts usng quotes from it...the most irritating is "Yeah but no but yeah" making it a common offender on my list of phrases that piss me off. Same goes with Bo Selecta. The novelty just wears dangerously low.

Yes, the English seem to be obsessed with it, but the Thais are much, much better at it....

:D

You have clearly never seen me on a Saturday night.

I don't know if I should take that as a warning or an invitation.....

:D

I say it's an invitation.. :o

totster :D

I'm getting a bit worried because I don't know, either. They say don't knock it 'til you've tried it, but what if I try it and like it?

Cool! Tom Baker is my favorite Doctor!

( Not that I'm a err.. Big Doctor Who fan... :D:o:D )

Your right Ice Maiden, but I would go further and say it's absolute total crap.

Sorry guys, but don't know what you see in it.

I would too. But I'd get flamed. :D

No sense of humour on here then? :D

Its hilarious, thats why its funny because of the reality of it all.

(have you noticed most of the dodgy Characters are based on northerners) :o

:D

Yes I have a sense of humor but Little Britain just goes beyond that barrier. A little bit over the top. Actually very over the top.

Northerners, great people arn't they? :D

Now then, sithee, is tha taking 't piss out of northerners, by eck. Speak proper like, or I'll send me brother round, ecky thump ( oops, showing my age now :o )

My accent is far from that. Maybe I don't like being a northerner but at least I'm not like most of them

ay up... I'll see ye on Ilkley Moor bah tat... :o

totster :D

Hey steady on, flaming the Northerners. Or "oy'll be down the apples and pears, grab a monkey, turn off the Liza Minnelli, get in a Joe Baxi, and come down there for a Read and Write, you bunch of Casa Blanca's" :o

I don't even understand that slang. Were I live we don't talk like that. Apples and pears are stairs though, I'm guessing?

My slang is like, um instead of saying weird I pronounce it "word" instead of saying cheers I pronounce "chairs"...And you can guess the rest...

But I change my accent when I'm talking to non northerners!

Also for coke (the coca-cola kind!) I pronounce it "kirk".

It was just a retort Icey to andyfletch with "now then se thee" and Tots with "ay up... I'll see ye on Ilkley Moor bah tat" etc. Which i don't talk like either. :D

BTW

Joe Baxi = Taxi

Read and Write= Fight

Casa Blanca's = Wank##s

P.S. How much is a Monkey ? :D
