Suggestions For Apartment Near Kajonkietsuksa School?

Hello, I've accepted a job at Kajonkietsuksa school in Phuket and am very excited about arriving. I used to live in Chiang Mai and found a great apartment with tips from thaivisa, so hoping someone can help me here! I'm really looking for a basic place as I'll have to work a month before being paid, and my girlfriend will be following me 2 months later so will be looking for a real house then. Lived in a Thai area before so happy doing that, though the dogs in CM drove me crazy towards the end. As I would like to cycle or walk to work, this is actually a factor too as school starts very early and I don't wish to start the day being chased by dogs on my bicycle!

Budget is top end of around 6000, though I'd like it to be closer to 4000. I'd be arriving around January 2nd from Malaysia and would like to get straight in. I found this apartment near the university:

which looks good - can anyone suggest how safe the journey would be? I've only really cycled around university towns in the UK before, so expecting a more stressful environment but hopefully not one with daily threats on my life (as it seemed to be in CM...)

the road from the university to your school isnt very safe

I would look for Villa 5 and Villa 2 as they are next to your school, and private roads only with speed bumps between residence and school.
