shartin Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 I am toying with the idea of getting my wife to start a fancy dress costume rental shop. Does anyone know if there would be much demand for that kind of thing in Pattaya? Or does anyone have any other ideas of small businesses other than the the usual grocery store?
PattayaParent Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 There seem to be a few Thai style fancy dress (costume) rental shops around, mostly around the junction of South Rd. and Third Rd., 3 immediately spring to mind. There's only 1 western style one that I know of and they are a forum sponsor.
PattayaParent Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 Here you go, a ready made franchise to buy into. http://www.thaivisa....25#entry4078825 or this one http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/424778-wiggle-town-pattaya-for-sale/
PattayaParent Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 I see there's a mini-golf course for sale as well, out on Sukhumvit past the Floating Market.

Does anyone know if there would be much demand for that kind of thing in Pattaya? If you go through the effort and expense of opening one and it is successful, you can be sure that thousands more will spring up all around you.

Or he could just open up one next to an existing shop himself !!
Basil B Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 If you want to invest in a business for your wife then for it to have any chance of being successful it must be something that she has great expertise at, I seem to think you want to put all your hard earned cash in to a business for your wife and expect it to make you mega bucks without any working knowledge of the trade, you would be better off and go to a casino and put all your money on black, at least you will have better odds, (a 48.64% chance of doubling it or 51.36% of losing it).

So the odds of getting Red are 2.62% better than Black ? I'm putting my money on Black...........

Be it Black or Red you odds are less than 50% as a zero is a lose whatever, the house advantage!
LennyW Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 And then of course there is the "Up to you" factor - loosely translated as meaning....."damned if you do, damned if you dont" !!!!
