Greetings and Happy Holidays to everyone.....I have decided to bring my scooter over and the way I will do this is to fly in into either Phen Phnom Phen or Malaysia and drive it into the Kingdom. I am almost certain I have all the information and paper work to make the border crossing but, am wondering if anyone has recent experiences with either of these two routes and what troubles did they encounter along the way. I will not register the bike in thailand as I plan on traveling often to surronding countries and I believe this makes the bike legal in thailand long time. I know this issue has been beaten to death on TV but, most posts seem to be 2 plus years old. We should probably constantly update this subject and pin it.

The law hasn't changed, the same limitations apply.

Bring in, pay a deposit/ransom in the amount to cover the cost and taxes and then bring it in and out of country every 6 months to renew.. All still a gamble though as to which customs officer is reputable..
