9 Volt Battery

9 volt battery's are easy to purchase in Australia because they are used in smoke alarms.

I have been looking for one for a set of electronic scales, but the big stores do not stock them.

Does anyone know a shop that does stock them.

Yes.. it´s a little difficult.. and I don´t even know if I have the answer... Try Big C basement or actually Villa Market in chalong circle. I think I saw something there... If all is lost ... go to phuket town. There are at least a couple of speciality stores there.Make sure to bring an old bettery or at least a picture of one.

Its just a standard square 9 volt battery with both terminals on one end.

Big C did have them at one stage but did not have any last time we went there.

Same with tesco lotus and Carrefour, they cannot be used much here.

Have you checked the local markets? Normally all sorts of batteries sold there.

I've found them in 7/11 but only std ,no alkaline

Think laterally and throw out the electronic scales and buy some that use RECHARGEABLE batteries...and be a greenie!

If i threw out the electronic scales, which i have no intention of doing.

I would not need any type of battery for them.,

scales that use rechargeable battery's or any battery's are electronic i thought, of coarse i could be wrong
