One of the two expat conmen reportedly victimizing residents and tourists on the island was arrested recently after a man tipped off the police he would be going to a certain place to pick up a stolen motorbike.

John Wynn, 65 years old and a British national, was arrested by members of the Koh Samui Tourist Police in Nathon.>Wynn was quoted in a media interview after his arrest saying he bought the motorbike from a British friend for Bt37,000 and said he was not aware where it came from.

In an interview, Khun Nui, a police officer based at the Tourist Police Office in Bophut said the police believed Wynn was not telling the truth when he said that he bought the stolen motorbike from his British friend, Trevor Conner.

He said that after they received the report of the motorbike theft, police reviewed the CCTV at Tesco Lotus in Chaweng and saw Wynn as the one taking out the motorbike from the parking area.
