GM1955
Gave my friend an 8GB flashdrive with 1200 Songs on it, plugged it into the USB connection, and it started flashing ' Device ' ' Device ' we didn't have long before I had to leave, but it wasn't playing any songs, was it just loading up into the stereo, kinda like my WDTV player takes time to play when I plug in my external hard drive for the first time ? Or is 8GB too big for that stereo ?
MoonRiverOasis
It could be the file system used on the drive - check your owners manual to see what file systems the OEM player will support (e.g. FAT32, NTFS etc) and make sure the flash drive is formatted appropriately. Thanks MRO, In fact I did reformat that drive from FAT32 to NTFS so I could download a huge movie file once. If it doesn't play. I'll reformat again to Fat32 and see how it goes. Cheers, I'll let you know.

GM1955
Yep, reformatted back to FAT32, reloaded all the songs, playing no problem. Cheers MRO.
