Since I moved to Thailand I have become addicted to thrice-weekly saunas, massage and a few mud-masks in between.

I find it so normal now but also realise that it would be almost impossible to take advantage of these wonderful, natural regimes in the western world (unless one has an abnormal bank account).

Just wondering what other wholesome "traditional Thai beauty techniques" I can learn that transcend both worlds.

A nice licking restores colour to their cheeks.

I've always wanted to get a pedicure but the pointy toenails they tend to do here scare the heck out of me.

I'm afraid I am really terrible and never pamper myself.

I tend to spend my money on other things (like books or plants).

Not really, I spend alot of my money on books also .

Only really spend most my money on beauty products

I know what you mean about the pointy toenails, SBK; they scare the heck out of me, too. You just have to explain without a doubt that you want them blunt, or straight.

I like to pamper myself with a sauna, massage, and spa package. But I haven't done that in a long time. Lately, I've been pampering myself by shopping for household items (nice towels, sheets, etc.).

Khall, where are you getting sauna and mud treatments thrice weekly?

I go either to a local sauna at Nai Harn or Poo's at Chalong. Have my own mud with peppermint, paint my face and sit in a cool breeze. Delicious!!
