I try to feel compassion for her and others like her eg that Warren Fellows fellow, but find it very hard.

They knew exactly what they were doing, got let off lightly and I don't think they should be making money off their experiences unless they are giving the cash to a good cause, which I doubt they are.

I read the book a while ago, good story, felt pity for the girl, however she says the reason she did what she did is cos she was sick and didnt want to ask her folks for assistance. i think its very sad if you are in a foreign country and have to smuggle drugs to get home instead of being able to ask a close friend or family member to help you out.

My family and friends are not wealthy, but im sure would always be able to help me out in some way should i ever really really need it.

I haven't read the book. C'mon if you are in a foreign country you abide by that countries rules.

I thought it was interesting that she preffered being in prison in thailand after being transferred to the UK Food for thought really, as our so called civilised prison system was to her, more brutal than the thai one.

When she was in jail in the UK she was serving the second longest sentence in the country. Myra hindley was no1.

My folks told me there was a lot of sympathy for the girl around their town and everyone thought that she was innocent. Nonsense, she knew exactly what she ws doing.

I don't buy that "I was sick" story. She was after a quick buck.

The book is about Sandra Gregory who was so stupid that she came to Thailand with a person she never knew and then she knew she wasnt doing right but still she went to smuggle heroin to Japan. She got caught by Custom Officals who was actually not even after her but after Robert who offered her to smuggle. And then she goes to jail. Thats what i have read until now and i really feel pity and angry for her at the same time. Actually i read this book because the teacher gave this book for everyone to read and write a report on it.

I also got to know why most foriegners come to BKK. Its because of the "girls" and also got to know how people smuggle gems and drugs and also girls from Thailand to other countries. And i felt so bad, i felt as if this world and all its people are piece of shit who can do anything for just a little amount of money.
