Boater
well bangkok rated ok with Average rental returns of 6 % , but even more interesting to see Jakarta is only 30,000 THB a sqm yielding an average 11.38 % return on investment PS maybe this should be moved to the real estate forum
Spee
Meh .... one of many factors, doesn't really mean much without looking at the bottom line. No cities in Hawaii or Iceland are listed, although with most goods being imported, their relative cost of living is pretty high, over and above real estate. Having live in Burcharest, even though it has been some time, I can assure you that it doesn't cost very much to live, eat and party very well on a modest budget. Chunky1
Thailand is in the midst of a real estate and stock bubble just like the rest of the world as everyone pretends that Europe and USA are capable to paying back their paper promises. You can't leave the printing presses running + low interest rates and not expect that to happen. "Oh hey, prices up X% and wages up .15X% in the same time period," zzzzzzz. roamer
Well according to the link I live in the worlds second most expensive property market, London, and a 120 sqm apartment would cost 2,335,800.00 USD = 1,501,835.92 GBP. In actual fact even in the top prime areas of London like Mayfair you could knock 30% off, step outside that and you could knock 60% or more off and still be living in a very desirable part of town. Suspect the figures are equally useless for other cities
