I don't know, I steadfastly don't vote, I consider politicians beneth contempt.

T.M. - you know fully well you should contact one of us Mods if you have issues with the rules or our style of moderation.

No more games.

If you are talking generally, about individual members and their political conviction, I have yet to meet a person who does NOT have an agenda of some kind. Even an anti-politics agenda is somehow political, along the same lines as Sartre said (loosely quoted):

You must choose. If you do not choose, you have still made a choice: the choice not to choose.

Khun Meadish,

Not only are you an expert on the Thai language, you must also be an expert on English.

The original post might as well have been in Martian :o

I'm pretty sure I don't understand your question. I googled for a definition of "religious hypocrisy" and there was none so I googled for the definition of "hypocrisy" and found pretty much what I expected to find...I checked just to be sure because sometimes my understanding of a word is incorrect or incomplete. Anyway, I think that 'having a political agenda (on Thaivisa) means that you post in a way that you hope will convince people of the truth of your political beliefs. It seems obvioius to me that this can be done without being hypocritical....and since this seems so obvious to me I think that I am somehow not understanding your question.

TM the term religious hipocracy, please explain.

are we talking oxymorons, or are you taking us to a new level of bedlam posting standards

I'm pretty sure I don't understand your question. I googled for a definition of "religious hypocrisy" and there was none so I googled for the definition of "hypocrisy"

Eg: A person who goes to Church and claims to follow the loving teachings of Jesus Christ, then tries to justify the killing of other people where he thinks it makes him feel a bit more comfortable, <...for example: one who has entered a tube station and looks a bit 'foreign'>, or possesses other neo-con leanings.

...and also can't find where he leaves his sandals.

:o

This sentence doesn't mean anything.

Would you mind to rephrase it if you actually know what you are trying to say ?

Like someone else said, where is the Klinkon (sp) translator ?

Sorry TM, I know I am being slow, but what do you mean?

I can translate for you.

Blah blah blah. Blah blah blah, blah blah blah, blah blah blah, blah blah blah.

NO criticism is intended, or implied of the moderation of Thaivisa.

The OP is just a question members can comment on, reply to or ignore - as is their want.

Good to see not all your postings have ended up as nappy poo - like the majority of them since your last spanking.

Hmm... It can be either hypocritical or genuine. Or do you want to get widely generalized replies of any political agenda on TV?

To be frank, TM, it seems like you have something very specific in mind, which for some reason you choose not to mention. Spell it out and get some more meaningful replies.

You must choose. If you do not choose, you have still made a choice: the choice not to choose.

Meadish, I believe the guidelines for Buddhist meditation of maintaining bare attention are beyond such a choice.

WAH WAH WAH !

:o

As everyone has a political viewpoint whether conservative or liberal, I wouldn't exactly refer to either as hypocritical. The same with a religious attitude - it's in the eye of the beholder whether the other is being 'hypocritical'.

IMHO :o

It's not hypocritical, because this is an open forum. Members are free to uphold whatever views they wish, as long they adhere to forum rules.

Of course, the idea of an open forum changes if we are talking about people who use a designated position to regulate discussion according to their views.

What was your question again?

tm is just a sh1t stirrer and only wants to gode people into a response. After his second post on his thread here, I did not bother to read further of HIS comments.

I am really giving it an effort to NOT be a bad guy here on TV but some of the dimwits on here just rub me the wrong way and I can't help myself.

What makes it funnier though is that Tom had to be rescued from the closed '911' topic by a brace of Moderators, when he was being savaged by the cutting jibes of Butterfly.

I've probably given this topic way more thought than it deserves but I think I've come up with what it means....at least I've come up with something which is more than the OP has been able to come up with...so here goes:

Since the purpose of TV is to waste time and accomplish nothing religiously, then to have a political agenda in your posts is contrary to the purpose of TV since it is an attempt at accomplishing something and thus is it hypopcritical.

What'ya think?

Savaged by the B-Fly? :D

Recall it was the other way around... :o

I am glad the moderators closed that thread to save TM. I was beating a dead corpse anyhow.
