THE BMA HAS ORGANIZED A PROJECT TO CELEBRATE THE 60TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE KING'S ACCESSION TO THE THRONE

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) is joining hands with the Justice Ministry and the Office of Supreme Commander to organize the "Yong Generation Model of the Country" (ต้นกล้าของแผ่นดิน) project.

Bangkok Governor Aphirak Kosayothin clarified that the project is being held with the objective of celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the King’s Accession to the Throne. It is also aimed to create a good role model for the Thai younger generation, as children and youth problems in society have been deteriorating. Presently, there are several kinds of juvenile problems taking place, such as child abuse and torment, child abandonment and child criminals. Statistics suggest that the average age of Thai youths who were tortured and committed the crime is getting lower, to the latest finding at 10 years of age.

Therefore, the Bangkok Governor said the "Yong Generation Model of the Country" project is initiated to produce a number of adults with high morals. He also said he would like to see this project to proceed continually along with the improvement of social conditions.
