How Does Someone Find Smaller Phuket Hotels On Line?

Featured Replies

We have visited phuket a few times now and I know that there are a lot of smaller hotels on the beach that I just can't seem to find on the INTERNET IE:expedia /hotel.com ect....does any one have any ideas on how to find a list or site that might have some of them? haven't found one on Thai visa either. any clue would help, for a clueless guy like me :whistling:

Use google or try hostelworld.com. It's not just hostels; there are plenty of small hotels and guesthouses

Many of the smaller guesthouses are owned by Thais, and to be honest, they do not have the knowledge or recognise the importance of putting their guesthouse or hotel 'online' for internet bookings.

Some of the online booking agents, such as Agoda, Wotif etc, will not allow small guesthouses to be listed on their web-sites - the guesthouse must have 10-12 rooms.

Web-sites such as hostelworld.com, hostelclub.com, hostelbookers.com do list some of the smaller, Thai-owned hotels/guesthouses.
