Why do some people have a problem with the guy being a mathematician ? :o <deleted> Its his job ! I also had a fireman over and did the same thing but he didn't mention the fact that all tha bars have very little fire safety and would not be allowed to open in the UK etc  He may have mentioned a few bars are busy and some are not but he didn't get into fire regulations in the same way my friend didn't try to calculate the average drinking spend per Farang in Green mango even though he could have. :o

He did take one look at the books and tell me how much profit I was making per drink and where to adjust etc so was a welcome visitor.:D

As a old computer consultant I suggest the following steps.

1. Bring your own hardware.

2. Get a lot of input and check that output comes in right format.

3. Check that your operating systems are compatible. ( very important )

4. Make quick virus check in interface ports.

5. In case crash, make sure you have a reliable backup.

6. In case of memory loss, reboot and try again.

Bloody 'ell I'll try to interpret....

1. Wear your Dr Martens in case you need to administer a boot up the backside.

2. Make sure the bum gun is working.

3. Don't bother if they've run out of Tiger....find another bar.

4. When was her last visit to Nathon hospital? :o

5. Self explanatory.....not a problem in most areas but those in FV should be especially careful....

last night i got a suprise happy valantine call from angie of the old eye 90, get her to run a bar and that is what makes a good bar, for me the best bar not only in Samui but Thailand. she is available for employment if anybody wants a good bar.

what a bar that was.

100% correct. The only one to come halfway close was the old one unit K Bar in Bangrak.....all the staff have changed now though.....:(

i've known angie for a number of years. the original eye 90 was the first bar i went to on samui, after cruising around all of the soi's. there is a reason she's not running anything now, and it's not because she runs the best bar.

whats the reason?

I thought the same...bring back the eye90....beats the Soi Reggae rubbish now hands down....remember when it was busy every night?....great times! :)

As to how good a bar is generally relates to the attitude and personality of the person that runs it. Secondly smiling friendly staff and reasonably priced drinks.

It shoulb said that the reason that a lot of bars are empty is because there are simply too many of them. Did'nt i hear on this forum that three new bars had opened in Banrak in the last month!!!!

Why don't people understand.....There's simply not enough punters.

thing is if you put together something great you will gradually win other bars customers over.
