I was kind of expecting that to happen ,and still....after exactly 3 years of using my lifetime membership with California Wow ,I was told yesterday that I won't be able to prolong it any longer (I was paying an additional 2000 Bahts per year ) ,as it is valid for only 3 years.

I'm still trying to work it out with some more authorized people at the upper management,but was wondering if I was the only one to face that kind of short time life expectancy or are there any other "lucky" members to share the same fate.

I just heard that about California WOW from a Thai gal friend of mine who says the 'Lifetime" membership is no longer valid. I just laughed. Get out now instead of paying that exorbitant price. It is old US used Nautilus equipment. The places are poorly laid out and I have not seen a clean one yet which is bizarre in Thailand.

It is funny, These places are more expensive then Fitness centers in US. Seems quite odd.

I just got caught by the same crap in California Wow, Pattaya.

Bought a Lifetime Membership 2 years ago and knew about the membership card renewal bullcrap and promptly renewed on time last year.

This year I was staying in Phuket and couldn't manage to get back to Pattaya to renew their plastic membership card.

Went in this week and was told "Life Membership cancel. you no renew card. you want buy new life membership?"

My answer started politely but after their replies of "cannot" I finally told them where to shove it.

Total SCAMMERS! No wonder they're running out of cash and scaling back.

I had a lifetime membership too just to train with friend at times. But at the same time i have converted one of the rooms in my home to a gym. Got a nice power rack there and olympic barbell with up to 200kg in weights. I got a pully and some other stuff. I can do it all. It might be expensive to start with but after a few years your training for free.

You dont need machines free weights and a power rack are the way to go.

Seems to me you should be upset at yourself rather than accusing your gym publicly (BTW beware the outrageous law here defamation is a criminal offence).

You didn't pay and broke the terms of continual membership.

Would you be happy if the gym became run down because others didn't pay on time?
