Jatuporn Warns Of Bigger Rallies Ahead

Hopefully he will get a royal pardon in December. Don't expect PT (including Jatuporn) to do anything to help Surachai or Somyot, as freeing the more sincere and honest of the Redshirt leaders is the last thing that the paymaster will want to do. The Reds who actually believe in the Red ideals will be the first ones kicked to the wayside, as they have already served their purpose.

Jailed ‘Red Siam’ leader gets added jail term for lese majeste

Thailand’s Criminal Court on Friday sentenced 68-year-old Surachai Danwattananusorn to another two years six months after being found guilty on lese majeste charges, bringing his total jail term to 10 years.

The political activist, also known as Surachai Sae Dan, is now serving seven and a half years jail for speeches judged to have insulted the monarchy.

The court handed him down another five years jail but the sentence was commuted to two and a half years due to his confession in similar case.

In late February, the court found Mr Surachai guilty of lese majeste under Article 112 of the Criminal Code for speeches on several occasions that were considered insulting to the monarchy.

Mr Surachai pleaded guilty to three counts of lese majeste involving his speeches at rallies in Chiang Mai, Udon Thani and Bangkok during the 2008-2010 political upheavals.

The Criminal Court sentenced him five years in jail for each count, in total 15 years, but the sentence was halved to seven years and six months after he pleaded guilty to the offences.

However, the court issued its verdict without any suspensions as they were serious offences with severe punishment and he had repeatedly committed the same act.

The "honest" Red Shirts, the ones that actually believe in democracy, no double standards, not having unelected elites interfering with the government, reducing the gap between the haves and have-nots, etc.. they lost the election.

But they were instrumental in helping to return the power that Thaksin had been lusting for back to him. Are they now regretting their decision to unite with Thaksin's Red Shirts?

This afternoon, the Appeals Court rejected a bail request from Red Shirt Leader Surachai Danwattananusorn.

This was in response to Surachai's appeal to them after an earlier bail request was denied by a lower court.

The Appeals Court cited Surachai's his past record and high potentiality for recidivism as cause for the rejection.

Truly amazing - a Thai using the word "recidivism" even from a judge/court worker. Someone must have actually gone to classes when they got their foreign degree.

Well he has a 40 year proven track record of recidivism on this subject.

If they are not now, they will soon enough.

Of course the ones most likely to cause Thaksin problems

are the unreconstructed Real-Reds from the 60-70's who lost badly

then but still have their dreams of Thailand the workers paradise.

and still have the old Maoist playbook in hand.

So they are the last ones he will want out.

The 'rabble rousers that can be bought' are still the barking dogs of threat

Thaksin wants to keep, slowly feeding the converted a little red meat regularly

till his power is re-cemented. And a bit less later on in case they are needed.

The red shirts get confused easily. They saw the word minority started with a m so they figured it was the same as majority.

They won by a huge minority.

At any rate I have lost track. Where is Jatuporn now?

He is so useless that if he didn't have such a big mouth no one would no he was in the room,

No it's just an old thread where buchholz has decided to update a previous post which was off topic then let alone now.

Surachai was convicted in Criminal Court today on his fifth lese majeste charge and sentenced to an additional five years in prison, reduced to 2 and half years following his confession on May 10.

Which raises the question, do they intend to overturn LM verdicts also, or just those for murder, arson and terrorism?

I wonder if someone will try to claim rape as a legitimate political expression.

Why not, some politicians are already raping the country's resources?.

As we know the main family man already did and will do again given an opening. All these thug red leaders are his workshop TOOLS--mouths like SPANNERS most SCREWED in the head, Wrenched too and fro, BIT and spat out, DRILLED into bad habits, speak with FORK tongues, never call a SPADE a SPADE, some half PLASTERED, giving everyone not red the BRUSH off, The boss persisting to make everyone believe he is loved--HAMMERING that point home non stop.
