Jai Dee Posted September 10, 2005 Posted September 10, 2005 When adding attachments to posts, some file types don't seem to be supported... I have had no problems attaching .jpg files and .wmv files, but I just tried to attach a 64K .pps file, and the error message I received was Upload failed. You are not permitted to upload a file with that file extension. Is this an oversight or are there some file types that are not allowed to be uploaded because of possible virus/trojan/worm infection? I think it's just a matter of what Invision's software will accept. I can't find anything in their documentation about .pps files. cv

I suspect that if the board admins look at the Invision's configuration, they will find an area to add more file extensions to the config. With Invision, this used to be called something like the "File Extension Manager"...... BTW: I am the lead admin of a big vB (vBulletin) board -- dding new file extensions to vB forums are done in the admin control pane - not sure about Invision.
