Getting From Bkk To Koh Tao

Featured Replies

Hi

How can i get to Koh Tao easily from Bangkok on the bus?

I went years ago and bought a straight through ticket from somewhere in bangkok and it included transfers via chumpon? to the ferry and got me there hastle free.

Another time i went on some kaosan road deal and had a load of problems in surathani with the bus company/scammers.

Both these trips were a long time ago. How can i do it now?

Thanks

The Lomprayah ferry company offer an all in package.

I've looked into it before, but never actually gone through with the trip so cannot comment on their service.

No problem with the Service..

Easiest, quickest, cheapest way to KT from BKK..

I just happened to check the price of Lomprayah the other day, it is now 1400 baht to Samui, perhaps a bit less to KT (used to be 950 a couple of years ago I seem to remember )....

Your best bet is to go directly to the Lomprayah starting point in BKK (on Kosan Road) & buy the ticket direct from them, rather than an "agent" who may up the price by 500 baht as "commission"

As far as their service goes it's good, I like it as it is less time on the bus.... The Bus goes to Chumpon... which cuts out miles of highway driving.... & you may end up island hoping by going from Donsak ferry terminal.... ?

Quite some time ago I bought my tickets (days in advance) from Sai Tai Mai bus terminal for the all-in trip.

Hi

Well im on bus now to chumorn from bkk south bus terminal. i will find out how to get to the ferry port for the night boat thank you

The night boat leaves from the river pier at around 10-30 -1100 pm. It arrives Koh Tao around 05-00 am. I used to do it on a regular basis and found going to the upper deck and sleeping in the open air was very pleasant.
