If I was to change the colour of my motorbike and wanted it to be changed in the green book down at the license and registration office does anybody know the cost of changing the paperwork ?

You'd be best getting a Thai from one of the local bike shops to go change the book details for you, it saves a whole lots of hassles in the long run. As for costs, shouldn't be more than 1,500 - 2,000 baht I believe.

There was a thread on this very recently, have a search for it. I think people who'd done it said it took about an hour and cost and 100 baht.

Why not just blow it off? I just changed my ER6n from black to red for about 10,000 baht. I saw a thread some time ago about changing the color in the green book, and it seemed a lot of trouble. So I thought, who the hell looks at the green book anyway, unless maybve you want to sell? If a cop did look at the green book and said something about the color, the frame numbers will still match up. Seems the worst that could happen would be a citation, but I really cannot even imagine that. Of course, I do nto live in BKK. 90% of the time, when I come to a police block checking out all the motorcycles, they take one look at me and waive me through. I fact, now that I think about it, having ridden the ER6n some 20,000 kilometers, I have never been stopped, not even once.

So again, why bother? What's the downside to blowing it off?
