Adhd Meds - Where?

Featured Replies

Where can I buy Strattera or Ritalin in Thailand? My 1-month supply of ritalin (controlled substance) ran out and now my studies are suffering (one example: its taken 3 days to read 10 pages of my textbook, with ritalin meds I could read 100 pages easy in a single afternoon).

The pharmacies in Chiang Mai said to go to the Hospital.

I went to one of the larger Hospitals (RAM) and the Pharmacy said I required a prescription.

I got a prescription from RAM within 10 minutes and the Hospital Pharmacy said they never have Ritalin or Strattera in stock nor could they order it.

I will be in BKK soon. Can anyone PRETTY PLEASE recommend a hospital or Neurological Clinic in Bangkok where I can get these meds?

Thanks in Advance, and BTW, I've been reading thaivisa posts for the past year and its been the single most helpful resource living in thailand. thx

Strattera (atomoxetine) is available in Thailand only as that brand.

Methylphenidate is available here under brand names Ritalin, Rubifen, Concerta (extended release formulation) and Hexal.

Be sure to get your scripts by generic name so that you don't get told something is not available just because the brand isn't.

In terms of hospitals which have these drugs, see this thread for suggestions as of 2009

Thai hospitals are very, very skittish when it comes to controlled substances like this so email and phone inquiries usually do not go well.
