Why haven't you learned Thai even after several years as an expat in Thailand?
Just perused the link. Amazed you found that simple. I do think that learning how to read and write might be a better option while at the same time learning how to speak. A couple friends have done this and had success. -

Perhaps I have offended. If so I apologize. In the other thread there were quite a few punters that seemed to be quite offended about being labeled "Farang". I maintain that if a person lives in a foreign country that it takes WORK to gain respect of it's citizens.. Expats are guests in Thailand but it seems many expats have bad experiences here because they are arrogant and think Thais should adjust to them when in reality they should WORK and TAKE ACTION to learn the culture, speak the language and show respect to their hosts. -

Food for Thought > A Common Sense vaccine statement and a BS one...
I do acknowledge that naturally acquired herd immunity is, in many ways, more robust and enduring than immunity induced by vaccination. However, achieving such widespread natural immunity would come at a staggering cost - the loss of millions of lives. Centuries from now, the numbers may be reduced to lines in a textbook, a distant memory to future generations. But for us, in this moment, every life matters. The cost is not theoretical - it's tangible, it's human. And let there be no illusion: if all vaccines were to cease today, it would not take long - merely a few years - before the fatality rates of viral diseases surged dramatically. Vaccination is not just a convenience of modern medicine; it's a shield against a return to an era of mass suffering and untimely death. -

An Enormous Usurpation’: Inside the Case Against Trump’s Tariffs
And the point of the article is that if he was going to invoke the statute the IEEPA wasn't the one he should have used. But, apparently, he was too impatient to use a more targeted statute. -

China warns ,don’t appease trump
How does it work to America's advantage? Well, Trump so happens to be the sitting President. He's the one that's supposed to handle foreign policy, right? Or would you like to see him fail? Do you want America to fail? Like it or not, Trump is currently the president, and that's the reality. Usually, I try to confine myself to thinking about reality. I suppose I could make up a fantasy. We could all go to live in Never-Never Land and live happily ever after. If we're going to fantasize instead of dealing with reality, we might as well do it right. -
