April 8, 201115 yr I thought this was surprising... http://edition.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/asiapcf/04/07/us.australia.china/index.html?iref=allsearch With eye on South China Sea, U.S. might place troops in Australia Washington (CNN) -- American troops might soon find themselves serving in Australia as the United States looks for better access to the South China Sea, the source of much friction between China and many other Pacific nations.During testimony on Capitol Hill on Wednesday, Adm. Robert Willard, the commander of the U.S. Pacific Command, said Australians would like to see an increase of U.S. military activities Down Under.
April 8, 201115 yr "Australians would like to see an increase of U.S. military activities Down Under" This means normal Australians, not the radical loons.
April 8, 201115 yr Waziristan - The Pashtoo Times 3 Jumada, 1432 Tribal elders have unanimously agreed to submit a petition to The Leader of the Free World, the Right Honourable B. Hussein O'Bama asking for U.S. troops to be stationed in a number of villages as well as a considerable increase of drone attacks. The latter if possible at least once daily shortly after Fajr prayers. Any drones flying in after Maghreb will be considered as nuisance because they disturb supper. There's also guaranteed R&R for the troops provided by the local association of working girls. Edited April 8, 201115 yr by Naam

Now, maybe if he re-writes it so that it is on topic he'd be deserving of a score. In a thread about the Aussies, US military and Chinese he makes a joke about Pakistan and Muslim women? Sounds like he was being lazy and using old material. Or maybe that's the German sense of humor. Speaking of the topic, it is comforting to know that not everyone from Down Under hates the US as much as the ones around here apparently do. Of course, they can't do anything to the Chinese by themselves so it is wise to make nice.

A big fat 'zero' for this one.
April 8, 201115 yr Whether or not they wet the bed..Depends. Depends..might help if somebody wetted the bedded.
April 8, 201115 yr If Americans don't care if their sons are cannon fodder why should other nations? They probably place a higher value on their own citizens lives. They can probably get some nice corporate contracts out of the deal too. It's a winner!

So it's a win/win situation huh? Anyhow, you're not a dumb guy, you know there's no real sovereignty anymore. Just interests, mainly financial. They know no borders.

April 9, 201115 yr depends? Ask chucky...he knows. His nick is chuckd. Please stop the constant taunts and insults before the mods crackdown on OTB once again. I'm beginning to sort of like it UG. :jap: It makes me feel superior to know harcourt has a passion for personally trying to antagonize me. It also comforts me to know that, somewhere in Kiwi land, there is a houswife that is not getting her lamb chops cut precisely right due to his obsession with chasing me around the forum. I stopped acting like he does when I completed the 7th grade. For some, it takes a little longer.

America's sons have a lot in common with Thailand's daughters. Someone else sells their asses cheap and there's huge money being made around that fact.

April 9, 201115 yr What is "insulting" about calling a self-proclaimed conservative, Mr. Conservative? If you are trying to prove a point, you will have to come up with something much better than that. Edited April 9, 201115 yr by Ulysses G.

I guess I've been lucky so far and haven't had to. Nonsense, don't belittle yourself. Luck has nothing to do with it. You simply have to close your eyes to reality. It wasn't always so. I was involved in Operation Desert Sortie for about 6 months which involved being the Chief Mate working on arms carrying ships. I closed my eyes to reality by justifying it with the argument that I was only bringing arms home. Had nothing to with war but the end of war. Still, even 20 years ago I was making $1,500 a day having nothing to do with war. Well, it's all a lie we tell ourselves isn't it? We justify our "realities". How many pensions are you collecting for being in the business of killing people?
