How To Wait For Registered Mail Delivery?

Does anyone know what is a reasonable time period to wait for registered mail from overseas?

The item I want was dispatched from Singapore to Thailand on the 9th. It has yet to be delivered or show up on the Thailand Post tracking system.

I am wondering how long is a reasonable time to wait for this before trying to launch an investigation into where it is. Does anyone know what the Thai post office's rules are for something like this? I know the Songkran holiday has probably delayed it somewhat, but that should only have been 3 days.

Under normal circumstances, does registered mail from overseas ever show up in their online tracking system? I would like to get this as soon as possible. Can anyone recommend an appropriate course of action?

Registered mail from the UK did but for some reason mail from the USA not (both were parcels and i had tracking nrs) You can just input it on the thai post site for track and trace.

I received an A4 package (degree transcripts & CRB check) within 7 days last month, using Royal Mail UK registered international post. Only one anecdote I'm afraid. I'm having a similar package delivered this month, so hope to keep everyone updated.:D

Received a registered letter from the US today, 19/4/11. The postmark in the US was 26/3/11. Talk about snail mail. I have had regular post arrive in less than a week.

13, 14 and 15 were all public holidays. No mail delivery at all. So perhaps that may have something to do with it.

My granddaughter sent myself and wife her wedding invitation , posted on 7/03/ 11 , still waiting ! She then sent a second invite , recorded delivery , still waiting ! We were hoping to receive the invite in time to use it in supporting docs for her `family visa ` application, however, my wife submitted her application yesterday and although it would have been good to use as a part of supporting docs , it was not 100% necessary to include it , just as well ! I think people would be far safer using `Fedex` or Ups , especially with original or important documents.

OP said his was mailed the 9th. My post was in response to that. Hope that makes it a bit clearer
