So do you know if Patong Beach area or the Jungceylon work well with Ture 3G?

seems only 2 choice left.

1. AIS EDGE

2. TureMove 3G

want to know which works better.

Did you miss this in the PG article - "Some people say there’s no 3G in Thailand. That isn’t true. There are two stable, reasonably fast HSPA networks in Bangkok"

True have 3G all along the west coast of Phuket so should be no problem in Patong.

I hear True is working on 3G in Rawai... AIS is still EDGE anywhere I've been, but I use them. I can put their internet plan on my phone's SIM card and just top up with a phone card from 7-11 or anywhere else that sells phone cards. Dial *138 for service choices. They are monthly plans, but just buy what you think you'll use in the two weeks you'll be here and of course a SIM card for whatever service you decide. DTAC has a service too, but they want you to sign up for a year.

True 3G still works fine along the far west coast of Phuket, from Nai Harn to just north of the airport. I had a series of articles in the Gazette with details.

If you only need Internet access from the west coast, True 3G is the way to go, although they now cap you at 3GB per month (if memory serves).

If you need wireless access anywhere else, your only choices are painfully slow GPRS (with AIS, DTAC or True), or still-slow CAT EV-DO. See my Gazette articles on that subject as well.

Thanks.

AFAIK no 3G in Rawai yet, so had to buy an Edge card.
