British Man’s Sex Toy Factory Shut Down

PATTAYA: -- Immigration police arrested a British man at his shop for selling artificial sex toys, which were manufactured in a Naklua factory that was to be shut down

Pattaya, 3 May 2011 [PDN]: Pol. Col. Athiswit Kamonratthe (the Immigration Superintendent) and his team conducted a sting operation to apprehend a British suspect who allegedly sold sex toys on the internet.

The undercover agent ordered an item from Hoskin Ian Keith, 61, online and had arranged for pick up at his Boutique Sexy shop on Pattaya 3rd Road.

The officers made the arrest along with various sex toys found at the shop including artificial toys for women and men.

These sex toys are made in a factory located in Naklua, Hoskin confessed.

With the search warrant, the officers raided the three-storey building, where eight employees were arrested.

Good work BIB...we don't need foreign perverts flogging this kind of stuff operating here in Pattaya. Also, this is not the first time this shop has been raided by the police.

Is FarangBuddha (1) A Troll, (2) A wry humorous wind-up merchant, (3) A total nob?

Perhaps jingthing could organise a poll.

Suppression of sex toys is a sign of a society with too much male domination. Fear that men will be seen as totally inadequate compared to the electric rabbit vibrator. Totally justified fear.

(A dildo poll would be redundant.)

" Mr. Hoskin who set-up the business 6 years ago after retiring from his job in UK, claimed he was unaware that he was breaking any laws. He was taken to the Immigration center in Jomtien where further enquiries are underway. We are not aware that he has been formally charged with any offence at this time. " :giggle:

no work permit, no company registration, no payment of taxes ?

No, that most heinous of crimes - no tea money.

How dare persons set up sex shops in such a conservative area, it's disgusting to say the least, bringing down the name of an upper class family orientated resort, we will soon start to lose tourists now, and now this gossip will do the hub of resorts no good. If this sex thing starts to spread I am thinking of going to phucket where it has no problems at all.:cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy:

I wonder how many were in the product testing and development section.

Strange there are a number of pee bun along the roadside here, on a steep grade that has taken a few lives over the years - and they carve wood dildo's many sizes and place them there for use in the after life. Could it be the law is not a real reflection of the people. You can also go into the market at the main wat and they sell them for this purpose. Look out here come the immigration volunteers.

PS nothing but the best teakwood woodies - I hope the sealer used is not going to cause any toxic shock cases.

What is "Immigration" doing involving themselves in this?

Where is their jurisdiction???

If they were arresting the Farang Owner for a lack of proper Visa OK.. that is their Business.

Not having a work permit is a violation of the Labor laws, as far as I know, not an Immigration offense, though the Farang may be deportable, as A "B" or "O - Married" Visa is required for a work permit. But immigration has no jurisdiction to enforce Thai labour laws. they could arrest him on a Visa violation only.

And if his merchandise was Illegally Imported then it would be a job for The Thai Customs department... again not a jurisdiction of Immigration.

Customs is usually under the Dept. or Revenue or Finance.

Unless the production, sale and possession of "Sex Toys" are illegal and banned in Thailand, there is no basis for any action, especially by Immigration. If there was an Illegality, then any action would be up to the Thai Police only.

Again... Where does Thai Immigration have ANY Jurisdiction here at all?

CS

And <deleted> is an Immigration "Volunteer" ??? Is this like a Citizen's Arrest?

And then, how does a Citizen get a Search Warrant?

Are Volunteers swore Officers??

They Why are they called Volunteers?

TIT.. No Common Sense at ALL!

BTW... isn't there a "Sex Toy" shop in the Mall Bangkapi.. or was it Seacon Square???

Not as bad as China though. Most of the world's sex toys are made in China, and making them is legal. Using them or possessing them, though, is illegal. :)

I was wondering that too.... How exactly would the poster above be in a position to have supposed knowledge of the guy's manufacturing practices?

Is there a story to tell there??? Perhaps a pre-sale product tester???

And on the other thing, ya.... what exactly is a foreign immigration police volunteer??? (rhetorical question there....)

It was his prices that were the real crime. These dildo's etc when made in foreign countries are made in real and clean factories under government manufacturing rules and are made with 100% clean materials etc. After all, look where these things go. To make them in some dirty filthy sweat shop on soi 5 and then sell them not only locally but export them as well knowing where these things are put....... the guy should be charged with putting woman's (and some men I guess) health in jeopardy. This is just plain SICK. I know where I would like to see some of his products go as part of his penalty. So this tourist police you are calling a rat could very well be saving your wife (or daughter back home) some costly and embarrassing medical visits.

I do believe your tongue was in your cheek when you wrote this?

In a country awash in fakes of all descriptions, it comes as no surprise that someone should be making fake cocks and other anatomical toys.

As to your comment" knowing where these things are put". Remember that the centre of men's sexual fantasy is located next door to a sewage outlet, and that's where some of them go.

When knives, replica guns, knuckle dusters are all available on the street, I could care less if a guy wants to make plastic dicks. After all surely his products must be cleaner than some of the taeng kwa available in then vegetable market. The irony here is that in a country where sex with the real thing is so easily available, why would a plastic model cause so much of a fuss?

I do not worry about the fuss. With sex so avaliable why would you need a dildo to start with. One can pay to have the real deal inserted where ever you would insert a dildo. Also why would there be a market for porn. when you can pay to have your ever fantasy come alive.

Funny argument. Hire a whore everyday. Is that the law here?

There is not just your way of thinking in this world, or YOUR style, think about other persons wants ??

Lesbians, Males-gay, elderly persons, for private use, so what is the whole fuss is about what ??

Many people would opt for a Dildo who haven't got the nightly money for nookie, others would see it as a safeguard from VD. H.I.V. and many disabled type of persons who cannot grab a m/c-or a taxi for a quick pick up at a bar. These toys do not come with a pay the family clause with them.cool.gif So for all the Thai bar girl thinking people out there-- there are also many innocent persons in need of these'' tools ''. live and let live, to my mind this type of shop should be left alone to sell.
