I recently moved to Krabi and I have an iPhone 3Gs and use a 1-2-CALL pay-as-you-go card.

I have to turn of several features (location services, cellular data, etc.) on my phone to stop a steady flow of data in the background that burns up 100 baht a day.

But, by turning these off I lose some features tho'-like being able to be called by friends using Viber.

When I visited a year ago someone entered a code to block this from happening.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Thanks in advance!

No, but you can get a data plan from AIS (1 to call) that is rater inexpensive. By the minute or MB. Call *138 to subscribe. You can top it up with your regular minutes you buy from 7-11 or where ever you buy your minutes from.
