What'S With The Crowds At Samui Town Centre?

Does anyone know what is going on at Samui Town Centre? Last few days crowds of people (at least 50 - 100).

They seem to be queuing up for something.

i did see a couple of nice cars parked outside as well, including BMW's

IMO , the money should have been slighlty more for the poor who lost everything and maybe or probably didnt have insurance,

i do beleive there where a few people there who would just collect the money for the sake of it ( and who where possibly cover by home insurance )
