If your humble opinion were shared by the judges involved, then of course your assertion that 'implementing the law effectively' would be the same as saying 'denying them bail'.

Without that judicial endorsement, however, it remains your humble opinion.

I just think 'Here's hoping the court implements the law effectively!' sounds a bit more neutral than 'Here's hoping that the court denies the request .......!'.

Now I know you wouldn't describe yourself as neutral in these discussions, but I'm just wondering when you and others are gonna quit considering neutrals as being Thaksin/red shirt sympathizers simply because they question your particularly partizan viewpoint.

I don't think I am responsible for other posters ,,, so "and others" is your issue not mine. I also tend to look at the totality of a person's post before I make assumptions about where their sympathies lie.

I noted my opinion as an opinion ... so the rest of your statement is .... well ....... not particularly relevant, now is it?

Your history of responding to posts made (that for whatever reason you dislike) with a one word response ..... shows me enough bias to not think of you as "neutral" :)

Predictable.

Thank you for exactly proving my point .... was there an error in something I said? Am I in fact responsible for posters other than myself? Am I wrong to look at the totality of someone's posts before coming to a conclusion about them? If I state something is an opinion, does it really need to be restated?

Yet you return to the one word response which I see as either "baiting" or "trolling" .... and you can quote me on that :)

I feel a 'multiple bickering posts hidden from view' mod intervention coming on. Oh well, let's dance whilst the music's still playing.

Don't be too hard on yourself with all that introspected questioning. When I was asking about you and other poster's viewpoints I was actually inviting an opinion from you. No need to get all defensive.

And I did find your other post predictable in various ways which mirrored your usual MO, so my one word reply was an accurate reflection of my opinion about your post. In fact, I would welcome such brevity from you too.

Cue....

Your post as well as your past posting history indicates that you have some bias in favor of Pheu Thai and a negative view of the current government. Who would you like to see govern Thailand?

Couldnt give a rats arse .Its not my country, I cant vote in it so why would I care?

I find this reply to simply be obfuscation ....... if in fact you couldn't give a rats arse with the conclusion that you can't vote, so why would you care .... it begs the question ... if you don't care why do you post about politics ... and particularly why post with what appears to me to be a distinctly biased way (nothing wrong with bias --- I am clearly anti-Thaksin and simply don't hide it or lie about it!)

Out of your 457 posts --- 427 are in the Thailand news section and it appears the vast majority of those are in threads about politics :)

Jd, you are make the fundamental mistake of confusing the issue with facts, they seriously don't like that.

:D hahahaha... so true.

The "I don't care" poster with hundreds of posts to remind us that he doesn't care?

Here's hoping that the court denies the request .......!

Scared are you

I don't think trying to sound like Yoda from 'The Empire Strikes Back 'will actually win debating points here.....

Win debating points on this thread? :cheesy: As one of the more cerebral posters you should know that there is no debate. Some of your fellow travellers made sure of that long ago. This is just for entetainment.

It seems that TV contains many expert psychoanalysts who are able to determine a writer's political persuassion even if not implicitely stated. To criticise Abhasit makes one a Thaksin supporter, to be cynical about Redshirt motives makes one an Abhasit supporter. If one does both, well you obviously have a hidden agenda :D

Yes as a commentator, because Thailand's version of politics is so entertaining, but I cant influence who is in power so why would I lose sleep over who will form the next Government? If history is anything to go by they wont be in power for long anyway! ;)

The issue isn't how long they may be in office, but the amount of damage they can do while in office, and whom it will affect.

There is also the sheer incompetence issue.

Please anyone; red, white, bland, transparent;

Tell me ONE legislative initiative,

bill promulgated or attempted to shepherd through the legislature by PTP in it's whole history, that was not about Thaksin and not about censuring the government, and WAS for the benefit of poor people of Thailand, that they purport to champion.

Please someone. Anything at all?

What has PTP, with it's block of 200+ legislators in their legislative jobs in the house, done to improve the lot of Thailands poor? No, going on the Red Stage to scream against the government is not legislation drawn up and passed to help the poor.

What legislation have the drawn up and NOT gotten passed?

I am quite interested to find out what they have done as legislators in their 2.5+ years in the job.

I have asked this before and the SILENCE was deafening.

Where in my post did I say I support Pheu Thai?

Because you live here (I assume). Whoever is in charge of the country in which you live can affect your life as well as the lives of any family and friends that you might have.

True I do live here. I was here when Thaksin was PM I was here during the MIlitary coup I was here during several other Pms rule and then finally when Abhisit was PM. How have things changed for me? Not at all. People who worry about this stuff too much really should get out more like the guy who counted up all my posts!. I still maintain that you can comment on politics because you like watching it (a bit like watching a football match) but you dont have to care about the results. Politicians here dont stay in power for long enough to change things in any case.

Landofthefree; With your self proclaimed longevity in Thailand and your statement "politicians here don't stay in power long enough to change things in any case" gives raise to the question. Is he an astute student of the Thai political system or very uninformed?

Just to clarify, there are several second generation wannabes in the upcoming elections. As far as any desire of the majority of the candidates to change things, guess that requires a clarification of change.

Take a look at your profile page. It tells post count. Then hit "find my content" and it shows the threads posted in ... again with what you post ... it shows to me not only do you "care" but also how you lean politically :) Like I said, nothing at all wrong with having an opinion/bias and absolutely no need to be disingenuous about it.

It looks like Jatuporn wants to become an MP again so as to be "above" the law. Let him stay in jail if that's what the system says is the law. To let him out to register to run for office would make a laughing stock of the judicial system, but then again, that wouldn't be new or news.
