this is probably due to the fact i use and old TV

please advise if this is applicable to new TV sets

a few months ago

i decided to rescan

in other words have the TV

set itself up

for all channels available

lo and behold

i got a few new channels

better reception

best of all

i found stream channel 13

which sometimes has excellent movies

in english late at night

so you may want to rescan your set

and maybe i should do this more often

your experiences?

In the building in which I live ( no names,no pack drill ) ( you know [/i]who is watching ! )

just about every time there is a storm the TV reception goes out and so I have to 'rescan'.

And you are right ,it's quite interesting which channels turn up.

After three years with 'my TV providers' I have recently discovered 'Bloombergs'

which certainly wasn't there a month ago.

My rescan also moves each channel one or two stops away from where they originally were.

ie.BBC used to be at # 22,now it can be found at # 24 ........??

As the Americans are want to say......................GO FIGGER !!

Actually Bloomberg has been around for quite a while. If you are a fan of American Talk Show "Charlie Rose" I suggest tuning in at 10pm nightly for what is arguably the best hour of talk TV available.

Sophon regularly adds or loses broadcasting licenses for particular networks (For instance they once upon a time had "Star World", then "MNET" and now "Universal") so your idea of the channel setup rescan is a good one to do periodically.

BTW the reason the channels mentioned move from one number to another has nothing to do with Sophon assigning a particular number to a station but more as to how your TV indexes said frequencies.

Cheers and happy watching.
