and given us the answer as to why United fans are so spitful to us.

post-14019-1136287705.jpg

Envy it's called, and green with it as well. Or should it be called the'Blues'

Lampard10 , is the above a joke. envy, spitful, come back when you have won a few more trophies and get off your high horse. Chelsea have raised the bar and are a notch above everyone at the moment but envious of you, come on!

History and tradition make a club what it is and i am afraid even Man City have got more then your lot.

As for the northerners dig, what is that all about ,sticks and stones. Me thinks, trophy wise northern teams have won more! Even i don't need to be quick thinking to work that one out.

Oh, that reminds me, wheres me flat cap :o

Bredblue and Nev,

How are you? Been on me hols. I was looking for a blue santa but i couldn't find one. Any ideas where i can find one?

Bredblue,

The Munich thingy won't work i'm afraid. I agree its a great idea but i can't see it happening. When i watch City and they sing the Andy Cole song, which goes Oh Andy Cole oh Andy Andy Cole ur not Munich any more ur not Munich any more i can certainly hear it loud and clear so i think there are more people singing than what they make out on that report you posted. I am not having a dig but i just can't see it mate.

A week on Saturday, are you getting all giddy :D

JJP

welcome back jjp. hope u had a great hols.

yes cannot wait for the derby always good to watch and full of passion, and i am sure if they come out with the munich chants again i am sure the rest of thecity fans will drown them out :D:D

as for old lamp posts response laughable.

1. .....and what did Citeh win....?

2. United in decline. Still a resounding no and, still nothing I read here comes close to doing anything else but, make me smile. Certainly not changing my mind.

1. Sorry but exactly what comment are you responding to?

2. Pleased to hear this is pleasing to you, its certainly pleasing to see the mighty ManU struggling along behind that little club from Larndon, ha! :o

Try reading the end of your own post 206 then reading mine 207, Bred....!

Back to your Munich thing, it will never change cos there will always be a minority of Blues that you can't change..

And about time too.

City ask fans not to sing about Munich.

From the Guardian: (and Red Issue)

Manchester City have launched a campaign to eradicate chanting about the Munich air disaster at the derby match against Manchester United on Saturday week. An open letter will be printed in the programme for tonight's match against Tottenham Hotspur calling the supporters who sing about the tragedy an "embarrassment to our club".

The letter has been written by the supporters' club and other fans' groups such as the Centenary Supporters' Association. It targets the habit of City referring to United players and fans as "Munichs".

“Twenty-three men, many of them young footballers yet to reach their prime, perished on the runway of Munich airport,” it says. “Among the dead was journalist and former City player Frank Swift, one of the greatest goalkeepers ever to grace the blue shirt.

“What happened that day transcends football. It transcends rivalry. Death is not a joke; loss is not a way to goad your rivals. Those who sing songs about Manchester United's plane crash in Munich are an embarrassment to our real fans. We help to kick out racism. We don't tolerate discrimination. So let's stamp out these appalling chants.”

Hopefully the programme itself will heed the request, given that it was them who printed a ‘Munich chant’ as the ‘year’s best’ from City fans just a few years ago.

United in decline, No.

You're probably right about the Munich thing, i just wanted you to be aware that the great majority of city supporters do not agree with the few idiots. So now you know.

giddy about a week on saturdat? No, shit scared after getting up at 3 am to witness our woeful dispay against a decent looking spurs. Fergie was there and he'll have left feeling very confident. :o

1. Ok i've read my post and your reply and can only assume (?) that you are commenting on my comment that ManU won nowt until the premier can in to being and neither did City - but aren't you the greatest ream in the World (or is that just hype) and we're that little team from Maine Rd? So why were Liverpool so successful and you lot weren't?

2. You're right, it will probably never change as the morons will keep on singing it. Hopefully by now though you realise that the chant / the name calling isn't aimed at the dead but at the affect it had on ManU in kickstarting them in to being the club we know now. Presumably you're well read on the subject?

3. I seriosuly doubt City put a munich chant in the programme but if they did give me the details and i'll contact the club with a moan about it. Are you sure?

4. Time will tell, won't it. Will this be the 3rd or the 4th year year you have failed to win the Premier - remind me.

Just to remind you, though my point about decline wasn't about 10 or 15 or 20 games, it was about a reasobably lenghty period of recent past and how i reckon the future will pan out with the loss of Fergie, Keane, Beckham, etc.

Yes, I must admit it's a terrible decline. We've crashed all the way down the league to.....2nd place. :o

But you don't get to lift a trophy for being second.

Second in the Premiership means YOU LOST!!

Even Fergie now admits it's over, never mind about the fat lady...... this season is finished, and in reality everyone knows it

Time to start looking at the other end for entertainment, who's going down with the Black Cats.

It's even over in the Championship except for who will be going up via the play-offs.

Leage 2 is interesting though.

This thread has been going for ages and personally I think its time to end it.

Man U are NOT in decline.... Chelsea through a combination of superb buying, coaching and team spirit are now the dominant force. They have just bought better players than United and perform better as a unit...AT THE MOMENT!!!

Man U will ALWAYS be a force to be reckoned with, but they have to regroup, get a new Manager and go from there. they have enjoyed 10 years at the top near enough, edging Arsenal who are struggling even more.

Liverpool went through it. Man U supporters just have to accept it, their time will come again. Chelsea will not be the Top Dogs for ever. it's a cyclical thing.

Just REMEMBER the good times. What must it have been like winning the treble in 99. Even I was cheering for them in the CL Final, you must have all been walking on air... and rightly so. But nothing lasts forever does it?

Good luck to you all for the rest of the season... I have no axe to grind with any Premier League Club supporters, (well not this season anyway)

TP

Well said TP. And I have a nagging suspicion that if Jose was in charge at United, then the rot might well stop. As so many people have pointed out Chelsea have cornered the market with their 'Russian' buying power. Maybe. But they've certainly wrapped the Premiership up with thier choice of manager/coach. Who incidently relies a lot on the players there before the big cash influx

evra is a excellent signing from monaco very talented young players.

The funny thing is, the initial scoreline of Sunderland 0 Northwich 3 is actually believable on current form... :o

On my hols at the moment so lost the thread abit.

But just one point to make. I agree with NOT singing the Munich songs. However, United have also got to stop singing the Bonfire song, otherwise what can you expect :o

Being as it'sa at City's ground I'd say 3-0 is pretty optimistic. I still think Man U will win, but I think it'll be tighter than that, perhaps 1-0. Could see it being a draw though...

Come on Mr Bo,

How can you compare the 2. The bonfire song is said in jest but the way you lot sing about Munich, please.

Anyhow Derby day today and lets put Munich aside ( we'll keep the red flag flying high cos Man Utd will never die) and hope its a great game and Utd come out winners ho ho. I think will will just nick it but i expect alittle closer Nev. 2.1 to Utd, me thinks.

Bredblue, i will be in Gullivers on Suk soi 5 if you fancy it. I am with a City mate ( wearing his city top) so it should be good banter. I will also be sat with a Lonnypool fan (lady) who will be also wearing her top ( spurs v Loonypool later match) so you cant miss us mate. Up to you if you fancy it. My name is John. If not, will e-mail 2 morro, gloating :D

My old man said be a city fan and i said <deleted> your a c..t

oh i'd rather shag a bucket with a big hole in it than be a city fan for a <deleted>..ing minute.

Sorry about that, the beer from last night is still lingering :o

Enjoy the game chaps

Think you'll find that all of the thrashings in recent years have been given out by City, but you were almost right with the 3-o prediction though :o
