Mapguy
We have recently much enjoyed a relatively (some would say exceptionally) clear season in mid-February - early April. It is hard to attribute our good fortune to any one major factor. Unusual weather certainly seems to have had a big role. I have been told that there was an intensive public information campaign to limit agricultural burning. Whatever, let's be grateful! From time to time over the past few years there have been specific questions regarding research on the impact of particulate matter on health. The following study was sent to me recently. Its focus is on air pollution and infant mortality, but there are links within it to more general studies. So, to learn more just follow the smoke. http://ehp03.niehs.nih.gov/article/fetchArticle.action?articleURI=info%3Adoi%2F10.1289%2Fehp.1002364 And let's hope the trend line on air pollution continues downward.
