Inernational Driver'S License - Where To Get One?

Just wondering if there is any place in Phuket to get an international driver's license -- a legitimate one, please! If so, does anyone know the cost and requirements? I have a Thai license.

Doubt that it's legal, but will fool most Thai police officers, not sure sure about insurance companies in event of an accident claim. Plus it's quite an expensive option.

local small (max 1-200k baht) claims, anything passes. Major claims, all docs considered by BKK headoffices, and it takes a lot to pass without Thai DL
