I'll go for a visa run in Laos and I would like to buy some dollars for the Laos visa (which is cheaper in dollars then thai baht).

Do you know anywhere they will exchange my thai baht?

In Khao Arn, on Rambutrii St. and Trok Run Mai, at the very end of that corner, there is a small booth tucked away next to a massage parlor and a restaurant, that offers the best rates of exchange in that area.

Why not go to Poipet which is closer and easy in and out? Cost of the visa is $20

I'm not sure after the price to exchange baht to dollar is going to help any perceived difference in exchange especially when you will not be getting dollars back as change in Laos. If you are determined to do this then you might want to make sure you get small US bills and ask for a discounted rate since the smaller bills are less desirable.

If you are going via Nong Khai there is an exchange right next to the window where you get your Visa from on entry into Laos.

In Phuket I went to 4 different banks in Central (big shopping mall) to try to get US$ for thai baht. No luck, all refused saying only do US$-> baht. This included inside bank at their exchange desk, also outside booths.

Does Super RIch do baht -> US$?

I finally bought some US dollars in the Bangkok Bank in sam sen between soi 3 and soi 5. They change all currency.
