Does anyone have a resent experience with either of these companies? I am going to Koh Tao for a week. I will be leaving my car parked in Chumphon during the week. Almost all reviews I have found of Lomprayah are negative. I have not seen any resent reviews of Songserm. It looks as if Seatran no longer leaves from Chumphon. Any input will be appreciated.

What car you driving? joking

I used Lomprayah twice last year, Samui/Tao, no complaints, paid extra for air-conned room it was worth it.

I split my time between Koh Tao and Chumphon. Have not and would not use the Songserm since the Lomprayah started service about 8 years ago? I park my car a Lomprayah pier, 50 Baht per day, never had an issue. LP is at least an hour shorter journey and more comfortable.

Lomprayah for sure. Songserm has very old boats with several safety issues.
