How Much Do You Pay For Your Water

Featured Replies

This question does not apply to hotel guests. I'm talking about B per "unit" or 1000 liters. Anyone :)

Water charge is on a sliding scale as per usage .Mine for a house with 4 people plus garden is around B200 a month .

You can ask at the office of Metropolitan Waterworks Authority in Chiang Mai or call center number : 1125 , search in website

Here(In this website) seems I am sitting in many different class rooms (English, economic, idea exchange, humanity, learn to be better, profit and non-profit life,....) , I like it , we do not need to show who we are and when we want to help other people or think what we can do for them, we do not need to choose black or white, poor/rich, good/not good people, just do it then keep in our mind... today we have something done or learn something.

4.0 Baht per unit (Cubic Meter) here in the rice paddies of Isaan

I'm curious -- how much is the OP paying per month for water?

Even with my wife watering our medium sized garden every day in a typical March/April, the highest water bill we've ever received was about 230 baht.

Looking at last months bill I used 16 units @ 20b per unit, I live in East Pattaya.

We pay 300-350 per month. And the "water guy" don't read the meter. I think it's expensive.

Eight Baht a unit here in my village just outside Chiang Mai. Good water too. Up from five Baht a year ago.

:sorry:

well Kudos to you for apologizing jap.gif there's still hope on TV for politeness and 'niceness' cheers!

My bill is usually around 220-300 max. I water a good sized garden daily and we have a baby so the washing machine is being used on an almost daily basis. We use a LOT of water. But the highest the bill has ever been is 300 - moobaan water - Sansai.

Moobahn water Hang Dong. First 2 Units 30 Baht after that about 8 Baht per unit. Just 2 of us in a Bungalow and the highest bill I've ever paid was 182 Baht and that was April 2010 when it was really hot and the gardens needed more water. Even when I had builders in doing an extension and they seemed to be using water for fun my bill was still only 152 Baht. Bargain I reckon, as is our Electricity too.

5B per unit in Saraphi. This last month I used a massive 5 units, nearly doubling the previous two months of 3 units each.

I don't have a garden, or a washing machine. Just a shower and occasionally I have to wash a plate up when I bring some food home.

It very much depends on which month. Our water bill during the rainy season is about 600 per month and 1000 during the dry season. (6 persons including servants)

I have a Condo in Park Lane Jomtien and its 27 c a unit .I thought that high but maybe not .Up here in my house in Chiang Mai its probably around 15 c a unit ( but hard to work out as its a sliding scale ) .

<br />I pay nothing, my meter is broken.  <img src='http://static.thaivisa.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /><br />

You too? We had that for three months as well, and the owners were too lazy to do anything about it. Shame it wasn't the electricity meter, that would have made an actual difference. :)
