Thanks loma......I just left a 1,000 deposit on the cooper yesterday @8,900 at the local samsung distributer and service center. 500thb is for insurance of quick service, should i need it. they also had a beautiful and decent English speaking sales girl that will give me private tutoring on smart phones for dummies. It turned out that there was only one of the coopers left in the entire north of LOS [with that vendor] and they are sending it to CM for pick up.

Thanks for your input and hopefully answers to future questions....

I would strongly recommend that anyone considering a smartphone purchase try and use the models under consideration as much as possible before finalizing a purchase. Obviously this can be challenging, but many shops usually have working models, better yet, find someone with the same model and ask them to show it to you. Even random strangers are usually more than happy to show off their new baby. Make sure you are satisfied with the screen (varying light levels; outside would be ideal but perhaps not possible, and the feel of the UI, in particular.

lomatopo , once again sound advice , ive learnt many things from you informative posts and replies . I'm a very Cautious sort of person any way when it comes to buying things electronic , and your advice has guided me and still does. over the past months ive been trying out as many smartphones I can get my hands on, and one personal factor soon became a main pointer to my perfect new smartphone , the screen size .

Ive borrowed several smartphones ranging from 2.5 inches up to 3.5 inches , and tried out in shop models up to 5 inches ( Dell Streak ) and it soon became apparent that the phones touch screen size was for me a major factor . So I would say to any one considering a touch screen phone try it twice buy it once , at first I thought this screen is ok, but after using it for a day or two , I came to quickly realise as the saying goes '' size does matter '' . I have today just had a friend arrive from the UK , and bring me an Orange San Francisco ( ZTE Blade ) , this I hope will let me learn more about Android , the screen size is 3.5 inches and all ready I am longing for a larger screen :D
