A lot of police in Kata

Edit/// wife just back in from Kata market. Tells me that a few police outside the Alpina Hotel. But no crowd.

As it happens I left Patong about 14.50 and I never saw any ambulances on my way back to Kata, but I stopped at Lotus in Kata and 2 ambulances passed on way south (Chalong direction), one was Patong Hospital ambulance, the other was a private foundation, no sirens and they were not in any hurry.

Ah yes, it was outside the Alpina Nakina Spa & resort on Ket Kwan Soi.

Traffic policeman suspicious of 2 men. Men shot policeman in each leg. Backup police shot the 2 men, killing one man and other man shot in chest, now in hospital.

Shit, I just left my shop on Thanon (not Soi) Katekwan at 14.15 appx. I was on Patak Road when a policecar came up on me, as did lots of police on motorbikes.

With some bad luck I had been at Alpina a bit later than I did.

I suppose I will be getting my breaking news e-mail from TV sometime on Tuesday.Bit slow on the news these days
