The prohibitive factor with roaming is usually the dial-up cost. With pre-paid net cards that you can get from 7/11 with unlimited online time (3 thb per connection....not per minute) it might be better to access a local network and access you e-mails through the internet.....if your e-mail provider has internet mail!

REBOOT:

I will be arriving in Thailand in mid-Feb. INET, (thai ISP) list dial-up numbers for many cities in 76 provinces. I will evaluate the costs later. I want to connect my Laptop to the Internet as I travel (Konchanaburi, Chaing Mai, Pai, Mae Hong Son).

Does anyone actually know if this sytem (INET) works, or is there something better????
