As I said I just came across it and it rang a bell.

First thing I noticed walking out of the terminal , apart

from the line of rag-clad beggars , was the Micky-D

far side of the forecourt.

Line of rag-clad beggars, you say? Shall I be stereotypical and suggest India? :o

Close

But no not India (not lately anyways)

Bangladesh ??

Bangladesh ??

Nope

UAE ??

Bangladesh ??

Nope

Pakistan :o?

I think it's Karachi, in Pakistan...

And you are right.

Well done.

Close geographically you mean? The only non-landlocked countries bordering India are China, Myanmar, Bangladesh and Pakistan. (We know it's not landlocked because of the McDonalds on the beach by the way). So I'll go with Pakistan also.

Edit - Oops, too late...!

Is it in one of the Low Countries? Belgium?

Not in Europe..

The States?

No, not in the States either.. Hint: the greatest game in the world is played here.

The greatest game in the world in whose opinion? :o I think it looks waaay too modern for South America, so I'm gonna go with Australia...Perth?

Getting closer..

It's Canberra Stadium.

Well if the greatest game in the world is played there it must be football, so I'll go for Brazil.

It's Canberra Stadium.

Negative..Still close though..

Possibly New Zealand then?

I'm running out of ideas...surely a stadium of that size needs to be in a largish urban environment, yet the main ones in OZ and NZ yielded nothing...Melbourne??

Melbourne is correct. The MCG in fact.. Over to you Florin..

Aussie Rules must be the sport then I guess.

Correctamundo..

Here you go...I came across this picture by chance, but thought it was too beautiful to not use.
