Does that sound familiar to you? I can't help it, but it reminds me of pretty much all the restrictions foreigners are subject to in Thailand: carrying arms is strictly forbidden, and while you can build houses, you cannot own the land. You also cannot build homes higher than those built by Thais (remember the Ocean Tower?). Furthermore, foreigners are restricted from entering certain beach areas and most occupations and professions, yet we keep coming in masses. Now, let's look at the restrictions Palestinians are subject to in the occupied territories: young hoodlums showing up at your place, destroying your property, killing your livestock, kicking you out of your house, and murdering your wife and children if you resist. And if the army shows up, it sides with the hoodlums. Your children are shot, and army soldiers stand around watching them bleed to death while prohibiting any emergency vehicles from reaching them. And if one of the perpetrators gets convicted for the murder of a child—which happens as often as winning the lottery—he is sentenced to two months of community service. For taking an innocents child´s life!!! Let's say there is a slight difference here between how Muslims treated Jews and how Jews are treating Muslims, and let's not forget you are talking about 100 to 200 years ago, a time where humanity yet had to come up with things like human rights and Geneva Convention, etc. while the atrocities done to Muslims are happening right now as we speak. Obviously in a Muslim Empire some 200 years ago Jews were treated much better than Muslims are treated now by Jews from the only democracy in the Middle East. Intentionally shooting kids - who does that?
