I should know this but don't.

McLeod Ganj? Sonehaven, Banff, Peterheid, Fraseburgh, Rynie, Fyvie?

Why, it's gotta be Calcutta?

It's sort of close to Calcutta, in a nearer to there than most places sense...

Think about the big city in the NE of Scotland and do some googling around that

I'll be saying Patna then!

:o

Yes, Patna - the largest city in NE Scotland!

Yes, Patna - the largest city in NE Scotland!

Is that your wonderful sarcasm again?? I did google Aberdeen and thats what I came up with....

so is it Aberdeen in the Andaman/Nicobar Islands??

Edited by ourmanflint

Hmm, the Scottish connection is not the place. I said that it was a place with Scottish connections.

There isn't a town or village there called Aberdeen - one of the markets is named Aberdeen.

hmmm... me thinks your clues mean nothing at all

Darjeeling

you see what you actually said was that the place "DID" have the same name as a place in Scotland!! That is why I am so very confused :o

As far as I know, the only place in India with any real connections to Scotland, is Madras/Chennai, as it was here that the scots regiments were based during the East India Co. times

Totally confused!!

A penal colony was based around here.

Port Blair, Andaman Islands

(Flint was close, there is an Aberdeen on the outskirts.)

As I have found the exact photo DSK used, I know it to be correct. A great place to spend a month (outside Tsunami season!)

Yes, Port Blair.

As far as NE connections go, there is a place there called Haddo, an Aberdeen Bazaar and a few other Scottish place names.

Well done OC!
