Hi All..

I'm going moving to Thailand from Ireland this summer with my Thai wife and child. I can obtain my non emmigrant visa here in Ireland before I go,

I'll be moving to Pattaya, where do I go to report every 90 days and what documents do I bring with me.

If you are talking about a non-immigrant visa category "O" you will not have to notify the immigration office every ninety days that your are staying longer than 90 days, because on arrival you receive permission to stay for 90 days and thus will not be staying longer for 90 days, unless you apply for and receive an extensions of stay, in which case your first application for extension counts as your 90-day report and subsequently you submit a new report every 90 days to your local immigration office. If you live in Pattaya, this will be the Chonburi Immigration Office in Jomthien.

For marriage extension of stay will require a number of documents and family (ID card/home register of Thai/photos together in home/Thai marriage certificate and ledger entry as well as proof of you having 400k baht in bank account here 2 months or 40k per month income. You apply at immigration office during the last 30 days of 90 day entry and there will be an under review of 30 days and likely home visit to confirm your marriage status. Once you have extension of stay you do have to make 90 day address reports to immigration if staying in Thailand and go through the same process every year for a new one year extension of stay.

Many thanks for the replies..... Can you tell me this then, what visa do I apply for here in Ireland before I go to live with my wife in Thailand from the following list:

1) Tourist Visa: €40.00 per entry. 2).Double Entry Tourist Visa: €80.00. 3)Triple Entry Tourist Visa: €120

4).Non Immigration Visa: €65.00 per entry. or 5). Multiple Entry Non Immigration Visa: €145.

many thanks for all your help guys...

First you need to answer the question - do you/will you qualify for one year extension of stay financial requirement. If yes and you intend to extend you need a single entry non immigrant O visa (if you can meet requirements within 90 days of arrival). If no or you do not intend to extend the multi non immigrant O visa would be logical (you have to leave every 90 days or less but visa is valid for one year).

I have a military pension that will qualify me for the extension.. ok that's great, Thanks a million for all the help....
