A Plug For A New Pharmacy

Featured Replies

First the disclaimer...I have no business interest whatsoever with these folks. Just about 150 meters east of the Heroines Monument and on the north side of the road is a brand new pharmacy named "Ta Rue Pharmacy" . The young couple who own this are very well educated (Three years in San Diego) and speak perfect English. The newly opened store is spacious and extremely well stocked. If they do not have what you request they will get it ASAP. Truly rare service like what we used to take for granted. All in all these folks will go way out of their way to accommodate your needs. I wish them well. :jap:

so they sell several baggies of pills for whatever ails a person like most thai pharmacies ?

And what do you know please tell us

Some people are just not happy. Sigh..

The big issue we have here is communication with a pharmacist. If their English is superior to other similar businesses, then kudos to them.

I dont know where but for you south folks there was a pharmacist next to tesco in phuket town, perfect english and very nice and you'll find her cute. She moved to rawai or nai harn. It should say 'english speaking pharmacist' outside as it did in phuket town.

Dont need to drive all the way here.

Even as she closed, i had one open next door to me and they have 2 young thai-chineese girls working, speaking perfect english. And if its missing they order it (24hrs~)

Actually yes they sell all the Pharma stuff but amazingly they are studying natural cures and remedies. They are stocking many herbs and vitamins and are open to any kind of alternative sources of healing. If you have some particular needs or concerns you will find them anxious to learn and willing to stock products. Both husband and wife study Dr. Mercola's newsletters daily among others and now believe in the saying "educate don't medicate." Best of both worlds...up to you

That pharmacy is on the way to Nai Harnd down from the Breakfast Hut about 400 metres before the road makes the 90 degree right turn on the right hand side. There's also a nice younger pharmacist that opened up shop next to the mini tops in Rawai across from Mamas and Papas. She speaks very good English and is the actual pharmacist on duty.

I have not found one pharmacy where they don't speak excellent English.

Yes, that's what I was thinking. Plus they are all very polite, attentive, and knowledeable. They have to be as it's a crowded market and repeat business is the only way to survive.

They all do if you get the pharmacist, but if you get a flunky when the pharmacist is away, it's hit and miss.

It's probably that one, she worked all day and she was a real pharmacist. Re commanding her. She's AAA+++. She knows what she is talking about and always tries to find the cheapest solution even if you dont want it.

why was my post was deleted?

Earlier a post was removed as it suggested the pharmacy was able to sell anything illegal, this is in contravention of forum rule regarding discussion of illegal activities:

16) Not to post about gambling, betting, pornography, illegal drugs, fake goods/clothing etc and other activities that are officially illegal in Thailand.

Edit to add: The post in question has now been edited and reinstated.

Another post regarding moderation action has been removed. You may send a PM to a moderator to discuss individual actions.
