Cough Medicine

Featured Replies

Anybody know where I can buy Woods' Great Peppermint Cure in Bangkok?

Went to Lotus-Tesco, Big C and a few pharmacies and nobody seems to know what it is.

Really good cold/ cough medicine like you found at home, is really hard to find here in Bangkok. The stuff that you find in most pharmacies is really just crap. If you ask one of the clerks, they really wouldn’t know and tell you to buy one of each brand. Thus making themselves look good. Word of advice, never thrust a Thai woman in this area to make suggestions.

I did find one shop right across from Big C Ramkhamhaeng near the Intersection leading down to ABAC University. There is a pharmacist who knew what he was talking about and provided a suitable cold/ cough medicine for my cold.

Chula medical center or shops near Sirirat hospital - if not there i doubt it could be found anywhere else in Thailand

Actually there is a very good one you can get in most places. It comes from China and is in a cardboard carton with yellow, red and black writing. The name is

"NIN JIOM PEI PA KOA ".

Go to a Pharmacy and ask for Brown Mixture. It works great. I hope you don't need to take a drug test.

It has tincture of opium in it. But it works.

more innocently 711 sells small jars with green and yellow caps containing herbal stop cough sweets. They work for me naturally, then.

Gave up looking for Woods after trying at a few pharmacies without success again today. Bought a big bottle of NIN JIOM PEI PA KOA instead.
