Personally I keep out of it but my financial side says to me Reds get in as the Baht will plummet in value. I get paid in Sterling and if the Reds get in then we can look forward to 70+ Baht to the £ again.

I feel that many foreigners who live here are supporting Pheu Thai because they stand to benefit financially, via more favorable exchange rates (predicting that THB will devalue), higher stock prices of companies in Thaksin's business empire (e.g. SC Asset), or better dealings in business relationships with Thaksin's businesses.

It would be interesting to know how many members here are in support of Pheu Thai because they have a financial stake. Thaksin, after all, is almost all about business (the rest being prestige), and he is likely to grow his business interests if he regains power via Yingluck. "Democracy" or "better lives for the people" are just buzzwords that are being used as tools to reach his personal goals. "reconciliation" is a buzzword being used to avoid prison.
