actually i didnt know where to put this topic,but this forum seems to be the one talking about restaurants etc.

I would like to talk about my pet hate of napkins in restaurants ,cafes etc.

i cannot and will not stay where a food place has cloth napkins.

may sound ridicilous but its true,i cannot wipe my face on a cloth.

what do others think of this

I have the diametrically opposite view to yours.

I absolutely refuse to patronise “restaurants” which supply only paper “napkins”.

A cloth napkin is not provided to “wipe your face”, it should be discretely employed to occasionally clean ones’ lips during a leisurely meal.

A paper towel – to use the more correct term – is thrown, almost literally, to the customers of low end – usually Fast Food “restaurants” - to encourage them to clean up the ketchup and other detritus after their “eat and run” (sorry, words fail me here somewhat) “dining experience”.

But first, the paper towel is cut down in quarters so four times as many can be made use of, and always single ply.... Unbelievable, but a fact, unfortunately. Give me a proper napkin, please!
