Sorry for probably asking an old question.

I am currently in thailand on a 30 day visa exemptioon stamp.

There is a possibility that I might need to stay in thailand longer than the 30 days.

I am married to a thai. The address on my wife's ID is in Nakhon Ratchesima where we have a house but we are curretnly in Pattaya where we also have a condo.

Other than a land border run which would give me 15 days upon retntry what options do I have?

Is it possible to get an extension at immigration in Pattaya to my visa exempt stamp and how many days would that be good for? I assume 7 days max if at all possible.

I have read in the past about a one time 60 day extesnion to visit thai wife. Is that possible? and what is required to get that. Also could I get that in Pattaya or would we need to go to Nakhon Ratchesima to get that. Does immigration require to see a copy of the marriage certificate? Unfortunately we do not havea copy with us in Pattaya at the moment.

Last of all if I would decide to fly somewhere and back in order to get another 30 day visa exempt stamp any suggestiosn as to where would be the easiesta dn least costly place to go. I assume Singapore is a good option. Any other suggestions.

thanks in advance for all your help.

A 60 day extension of stay is possible, you will need to bring your wife with her ID-card, marriage certificate and household registration book. Best is to call the immirgation office in advance, to see what documents they want to see at that office.

A copy of the marriage registration (khor ror 2 form) could be gotten from any amphur (if the marriage was in the last 10 years or so). Check with immigraiton if that would be enough or that they also want to see the K.R. 3 form. (The actual wedding certificate).

For another 30 days, just check a few budget airlines and book the cheapest you can get.
