What Requirments Are There For A Thai To Walk

Featured Replies

For Singapore or HK you (Thai) don't need a visa. You get 30 days stay permit at Airport.

To open an offshore account in Citibank, you need min. 5000 usd deposit but they asked 20.000 usd deposit within 3 months from me.

HSBC Advance says 20.000 usd, but they redirect you to HSBC Premier which was about 75.000 usd deposit to open!

Local banks do not open without work permit, foreign banks are under pressure nowadays.

Make sure you have some documents with you before you even visit them. Some utility bills to prove your address, a bank recommend letter from your bank in English etc.

You need 2$ and 20 minutes at Standard Chartered.

Standard Chartered was not helpful when I visited them. They said they need work permit for non-residents to open account which is BS!
