Passenger bus crash kills 6 in Pakistan

QUETTA, PAKISTAN (BNO NEWS) -- At least six people were killed when a passenger bus crashed with another vehicle in Pakistan, officials said Friday.

The accident occurred on a national highway in the Balanari Levies Thana jurisdiction near Sibi, when the passenger bus was traveling from Bahawalpur, Punjab Province to Quetta, Balochistan, the Express Tribune reported. The bus collided with a transport truck carrying flour, and officials said the accident was a result of reckless driving.

In addition to the six fatal victims, another fifteen people were injured during the incident. Emergency teams rushed to the scene, as both the deceased and the injured were transported to the District Headquarters Hospital in Sibi.

Among the killed was the bus driver. Officials later identified the other fatal victims, who were all from Bahawalpur and the surrounding areas.
