London To Bkk One Way

Featured Replies

Air Asia is cheap as chips in a Ryanair kinda way. I would avoid B.A.. Virgin is good if they service BKK.

Check out vayama fares starting at 405 pounds one way Aug 17th.

I use skytrax for reviews. for specific airlines.

Only tip I would give you is make sure you got a visa or they wont let you fly on a one way ticket

Well i,m going to BKK in August with Eva Air,one way, its £ 455 but after the last total nightmare flight from BKK to LHR with Air India i thought to myself, dont be a skinflint, get a life

Eva good airline, join the club build up a few miles.

maybe Worth getting an open end ticket, its Expensive to get one from Thailand to England.

Try Emirates...they use the A380. Also, if you prefer NOT flying for 12 hours (LHR-BKK), it is a nice idea to change at Dubai and have a look at the Duty Free there. Two six-hour legs. Good for your blood clots.

Austrian Airlines are cheap for some reason. Change at Vienna.

Avoid the Dubai duty free shops, I bought 1 bottle of captain Morgan rum there, the cashier copied my card and 2 months later, someone spent over 5,000 pounds in the airport. My card provider accepted the loss and warned that Dubai airport is the worst in the world for this sort of scam.

Once you've built up enough mileage points you can upgrade to "Elite" class. Wider seats, but as an upgrader you don't get to choose your seat until all the full fare folk have chosen theirs and you end up in the front row against the bulkhead just behind first class.

Then you realise you can't stretch your legs out under the seat in front of you.

Then you realise that you would have been better off in cattle class - only now you've wasted the points.

So be warned.

You'll need to fly long distance at least twice a year to build up enough points to get a free flight (they chop your points off after 4 or 5 years if you haven't used them).

Very frustrating, but I still choose EVA. Great friendly professional service.

I've used Eva's Elite class. Worth it for the wider seat and extra leg room. On the whole. Only $1900, compared to $1500 in Cattle Class. (Round trip)

But if you are flying LHR to BKK, then go for Emirates or Etihad or Austrian. Avoid Chinese airlines. Though if absolute Cheapo Air is what you want, go on China Eastern, but be prepared for Ryanair service (sorry, NON-Service). (No personal experience to back this up, but have heard negative stories re China Eastern).
